Bravo! Cucina Italiana, located in Zona Rosa Shopping Center, is a fun, white-tablecloth casual eatery offering great Italian food in a Roman ruin setting. A step above a casual, chain restaurant, the menu emphasizes fresh ingredients and generous portions made to order in an exhibition kitchen. Pizza and pasta dishes, as well as other Italian specialties are featured. Favorites are the lasagne and the chicken panini, but don't fill up on the great hot bread and dipping oil that precedes your meal. For dessert try the Dolci Trio of cheesecake, creme brulee, and tiramisu. In the summer Zona Rosa has free Friday/Saturday night Jazz Concerts, so if you are seated on the veranda, you'll have a very relaxing and enjoyable dinner. Great atmosphere
I tried the Insalata Della Casa and Mama's Lasagne Bolognese. Both were very good. The downfall is the bread that comes first. It was so good that it's hard to save room for the entree.
